Killing a high res render

Enjoying this plugin but i do have an issue with it, hopefully there is a solution for it.

Is there a way other then limiting samples to stop a render? As it currently stands if i launch a 4K render the computer wont kill the render if i just press/hold ESC. This forces me to force-quite maya , which i want to avoid.

Is there a script or tickbox that can help me to abort the render in an easier fashion?

it should stop without holding esc...it just seems too take a couple minutes. Personally, I never use "Render" I only use "IPR" because it's more responsive. Any reason you can't use IPR?
