Hi,

We're not going to make new anti-copying systems, we're adding some new features that everyone will love,
which at the same time will make cracked copies nearly useless.

I know very well that spending time on hardening copy right protection is a waste of time as they will crack it anyways, so we have a better idea instead.

Good to hear some "bon sens" about software piracy, and good to hear our money is used to create a better software and not against paranoid fear that just make regular user's life more complicate!
Thanx again...and dont forget taking some hollydays too ;)...Last week for me :D

So you'll be able to experiment with area lights, blackbody emitters, custom spectra, etc..., pretty soon, and you'll be able to get comfortable with cuda 3.1 and the new drivers until the final 2.3 comes out and you won't have any compatibility suprises then.

Thanks for your time,

Radiance, about lights, are you thinking about something like Maxwell Render post light settings???
There (Maxwell) we can set the power of those 'artificial' lights in post production, as group or individual settings, without a new pathtracing rendering...
...could be included in the Mesh Preview Imager tab...
I know there process may increase the rendereng time, once it generate a raytrace map, but it reduce the final job time process.
What you think about?
About the Mesh Preview Imager tab, what you thing about a real time levels display there?

Hi,

This requires one film buffer per light, and it would be practically unuseable on a GPU as it would exhause the memory of the GPU, leaving no more room for your scene.

On the other hand i don't really see the reason why you'd need it anymore with octane's real-time workflow and speed, for me it seems like a solution that was good for those renderers as they took 12 hours to make a render.

e..
I can't say yet, it depends on a few factors.

Radiance
I'm really looking forward to be able to save materials so we can start building a re-usable library! Hope you find time to work on this too. Either way everything is looking great and promising!

Finally got my GTX470 so can start testing and using octane in earnest. Woohoo! ;) Exciting weeks ahead!

Thanks Radiance! :) :) :)

1. Save camera scence. ( I think important )
2. move, hide-unhide object. ( Important too. )
3. can use old material or replace material when add OBJ again (can't explain seem like maxwell).
4. can edit material a little. Scale or rotate.
5. small preview or region view render.
Just Think should have, don't know they have already or not.

I love real time render from octane. I ever try Arion but not good for me. It was slower than octane demo, I think. So i purchased octane.

Thanks
