I just ran into a problem. My workstation is not connected to internet so i am offline with that one and then i get a error messange when i try to run octane on c4d 16.

It says:
Octane render could't be initialized, please check your account and internet connection.

Do I need to be connected to internet to work with octane?
Would be thankful for all help.

Thanks.

It should work if you make it activated and didn't changed any hardware devices, network, etc..

Okey that is strange.
I haven't changed anything. I just moved my computer from a place to another. I am not connected to any network.

Is there something that I could try?

It works fine when I am hooked up to the internet but when I turn it off then i get different Error message.

ERROR: Unable to determine network connection type,

Octane Render could't be initialized, please check your account and internet connection.

I have a limit on my internet subscription so that the reason why i don't want to be online all the time.

There must be a way to use Octane when you are offline?

I have been dealing with something similar to this since I bought Octane over 6 months ago. Due to company policy, my workstation can't be connected to the internet. If I have the internet on and then turn it off, it will work for a few days or so before it wants to reconnect (for some reason). I then have to reactivate the internet and restart C4D. It has been quite the problem, and one of the reasons my company doesn't want to make Octane our go-to render option. Hoping v3 will fix this dependency or at least introduce a license server of some sort.
