I have just rendered out some layer masks and they have fuzy edges.
How do you prevent this please?
Cheers,

If you use alpha channel and check it in PS, you'll see better edges. Will be some little outline but much better and can be fixed in post.

You mean this alpha selection?
I just tried that and its still fuzzy...Software: Cinema 4D r16, Octane v2.24.2 R1

I did a test scene for you. Also check AE project. Trick is on "alpha" enabled in Octane kernels and save options.

Thanks for setting the scene up. I've had a look at it and compared my scene... I dont see anything that I haven't got set...
I've got alpha checked everywhere - including the Kernels - and it is still producing these edges...
I would upload the scene file but its too big right now.... thankfully there is another option- I am using render layer ID instead . This pass looks absolutely fine... which makes me wonder how it is so different to the Mask...

before send, what happens if you put your objects to my scene?
render pass is designed isolate and composite objects over background. masks are exactly not same and multiple masking is a extra improvement by done plugin. it's similar to object id.

Hey Ahmet, I'm having the same issue with layer masks, even in your leaf test scene (though I'm also using the newest test version for R17 that you recently posted, so maybe that has something to do with it?)
I found that when I ticked alpha channel in octane settings (not in the render settings), it caused bad edges with both layer masks and object ID passes. Any idea what's going on? Thanks!

You should check my messages for your first image. It's a presentation problem of alpha pixels on Picture Viewer. Was fine on saved images.
For second and third images, these are not same issue. Beside of that your first issue that may be a internal problem of calculations object ID's with alpha of images. I'll ask to Otoy team.

Thanks Ahmet! I didn't understand you before, but I see now that the saved image is clean.
