Contact:

play with fall-off in transparency..a bit of textured bump to simulate fabrick properties, maybe also fall-off in color as well (depending on material).

ok thanks..
so you suggest to start from a specular-material?
or just a diffuse material?

thanks

I control the Opacity of the Diffuse Material for transparency amount and increase the Transmission to affect the translucency of the material to allow for back lighting. Also Direct Lighting Kernel Diffuse Depth at 2+ aids in scattering the light and color throughout the curtain. No need to use Specular Depth in my opinion for something like this unless you want to chase sample grains and longer render times.
