What is the Shlick Phase Function Equivalent in Maya for the Scattering Medium Phase input?

I am copying an Octane Stand Alone material as when i save it to my local Data base folder and select import nothing gets loaded in .... so i am just copying the shader inputs and building it in Maya

I am in vers. 2.23. I know it is obsolete and maybe later versions can import correctly.... anyone know?

Thanks

Simplyfied it's the direction of the scatter.

Do you know of a way to plug anything into the phase node that would control it.
The transform nodes do not attach?

Thanks

Any ideas if we can plug a float value or something into this node to give it a direction JimStar?

The phase function only controls the direction of scatter with regards to the light source, it's not a control to direct scatter in an arbitrary direction.

I don't have access to Octane right now and can't remember what values the setting has in standalone or Maya but if for example the control was from -1 to 1 then -1 would likely be back scatter where most of the scattered light headed back towards the light and 1 would be front scatter where most of the scattered light headed away from the light, a value of 0 would have an even scatter in all directions.

Hope that makes sense.
