Wow.
This is probably a scale 1 question ... (where 1 is the dumbest question you have heard in the last year and 10 is a good question )
But can you export any of that cool stuff as either mesh and textures or scatter nodes etc to octane?????

No, the engine takes your input meshes,textures, materials, etc and compile them to be used at runtime. You cannot export back the data, unless you write some special software.p3taoctane wrote: But can you export any of that cool stuff as either mesh and textures or scatter nodes etc to octane?????

Keep in mind that Octane v3 will have an Unreal Engine plugin, so it might be possible to somehow render that landscape out in Octane.

Or export to orbx.....
A little OT (not much).. What's needed to get started with UE4? Anyone got a link?
Back in the days of ID you could build the engine yourself and use it to run any map/Texture packs you'd created, compiled and packed using other software.
I suspect there's a paid SDK/GDK pack that needs to be purchased; and possibly contains some native content authoring tools???

Perhaps one day, man will make the startling discovery that our lives, everything we have ever known and loved, the entire universe, everything, has only been a computer simulation after all... inside of UE9......
Win10Pro || GA-X99-SOC-Champion || i7 5820k w/ H60 || 32GB DDR4 || 3x EVGA RTX 2070 Super Hybrid || EVGA Supernova G2 1300W || Tt Core X9 || LightWave Plug (v4 for old gigs) || Blender E-Cycles
That's pretty awesome. Just need highres rigged characters too and it's almost perfect.
