hi...
in order to set sundirection and such i like to set a background image
when i do so the image is being trashed. i did it before in earlier versions and it didn´t seem to be a big deal
now i tried different formats (eg: jpeg, png or psd)
also i safed the image with diffenent profils.
all of this didn´t have an influence on this
the image is distroyed
pls see the attached sreenshots
i looked up on the net if anyone had a similar problem but couldn´t find anything
does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
every hint is very appreciated

acutually i was thinking of some sort of corruption as well.
i sometimes do have VERY STRANGE pattern on my screen in any application
i called the apple support yesterday. we reset the pram and so far i didn´t have the effect again
i´ll attach a shot of these screenproblems as well

please, could you check if in the Preferences/Application, the Viewport visualization is set to Software instead of OpenGL?

normally, the OpenGL setting is used, but, if you need to render big frame buffer resolution greater than 8k (eg. Gear VR Cube map), you need to switch to Software setting in order to visualize the render in viewport
