Hi guys,

I've been checking the WIP and contest threads and I see this wonderful/clean/amazing renders in final quality and all I can do now is import an obj file, rotate/pan/zoom/orbit the view to where I want it and as soon as I release it the rendering process begins (or seems to); my question is, how do you produce or save your final image? Or is everyone doing like me so far, doing a "printscreen" and pasting it into an image editor, lol ;)

regards,
Alvaro

Hi,

the demo version is limited to, as you say using 'printscreen'.
that's a limitation of the demo that will likely stay with future demo versions,
together with not being able to save or load octane scenes/projects...

Thanks a lot Radiance. As usual, you're a gentleman ;)

Looking forward to purchasing the beta, though I'm not sure if I'll be able to make something as good as what the others are showcasing in the forums for the competition.

cheers,
Alvaro

well,

there are 3 licenses to be won in the competition,
one lifetime license and 2 v1.0 licenses.
so there will be 3 people that win, not one :)

that's a good incentive to produce something, even if there are already nice submissions :)

Hi Enrico, yup it's me, the same guy that loves 3d renderers ;)
Right now I'm working with yafaray only since I was a tad demotivated with unbiased engines and what was happening around their communities, but octane is a whole new air that prints renewed energy into the rendering field.
Thanks for the motivation. :D I might give it a shot.

regards,
Alvaro
