So here is mine. I wanted to render this in super clean 720p, but I'm swamped with work so I'm glad I was able to get it done at all.

Hi all,

The competition closes in 2 hours, so if you have anything to submit, you must do it within 2 hours.
You may submit posted videos that are still 'converting' on vimeo or youtube, within this 2 hour frame.

Hi everybody,

here is the link to my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWbD8gRYg2E
It´s a re-render of a little animation i did a long time ago on my Silicon Graphics Workstation
with Softimage. It was choosen and shown at the International Short Film Festival in Hamburg 1997.
I think there is something wrong with the converting from mov files in YouTube because it is too dark and you should
also try 480p. It is of course endless, so take some drugs and watch it for a while...
To the jury: I have uploaded this on Rapidshare as well so if you like to watch the real thing i could send you the link.
Rendertime is about 4 min/frame on my GTX260. Image quality is really amazing with Octane, no flicker at all.

Hope you like it

Murphy kicked in:( I'm having stability issues with internet connection, so in case I don't finish uploading in time here is final version but without sound. Frames were rendered in 1080p than down scaled in PS to 720p.

Can someone please confirm that link is working?

Cheers,
n1k

EDIT

Here is version with sound theme http://www.easy-share.com/1911253509/de ... _final.mp4

Sound theme is downloaded from here http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00930/

Robot character is modeled and textured by Stefan Morrell, everything else is my work.

Render times were between 3(min) and 7(max) minutes per frame including exporting and importing. Rendered on GF8800 512mb.
