That's unfortunate because you have the attention to detail and customer support that's also needed when developing a product. Great coders sometimes aren't very good at planning development or offering ongoing support which is why I'm glad OTOY have taken it over. The concept of 3rd party development of the plugins is all well and good if the developer has the right skills but leaving the development and support to just them hasn't proved a good idea in this case.TRRazor wrote:LOL, certainly not - I'm just a humble shader developer...You?
Besides of graphics-nodes and a firm understanding of materials in the world of PBR I'm nowhere near the excellence of some of the fantastic coders which code plug-ins for OctaneRender.

I would certainly be willing to help out with any of the plug-ins, in any way I can - but I guess in the end, that is a decision Otoy has to make...

The OCdS plugin developmet and support is now being looked after by face_off, and details regarding an OCdS update will be posted by face_off in the next few days.
Paul is an excellent developer and has shown this during the development of many OctaneRender plug-ins in the past - including the Poser one.
