Hello to all....
I have a question concerning backplate/background images
before using Octane I use to put a panel outside windows with a panorama image projected into.
then I switch off "cast shadows" to permits light bounce inside my room.

there's a way to do the same thing in Octane? otherwise there's a way to compose a background picture using alpha channel? o something better?

thanks!

Apply an image through an Image Texture node and link it to the Texture input of the Texture Environment Node. You can also use this method for using sky images exported from Vue.

Try this setup (Similar to LW's Texture Environment). With the Environment: Daylight node Octane actually creates a sun that can be viewed in the IPR window and in the final render (but not in the LW viewport), it's very similar to LW's Sun Spot Motion Modifier. Throw on Octanes Post Processing node with a lil glare and your rolling.

yes yes... I understand that, I was thinking that environmental texture will override sun settings.... but not
it works!

thanks again
