This isn't necessarily related to Octane, but you guys are my go to forum so....

With the Helix spline, at the very top there is a little part at the beginning and end that sticks out and is not uniform with the rest of the helix. Of course I can make the helix editable and manually adjust the points, but then I lose some of the flexibility of the model remaining parametric. Does anyone know a good workaround for this? Or perhaps a button that I'm just not pushing?

Thanks all.

Hi,

Turn Intermediate Points to None and use only use the Subdivision value to add points.
That way the Helix doesn't attempt to smooth the points out which looks odd when the spline starts and ends.

cheers

I ran into this the other day, yeah the prob is the intermediate points. I ended up setting to uniform and cranking it way up.
