Maybe you saw this thread:

Pretty much says it all... Substance Painter effing rocks, and is my weapon of choice... But maybe QS will find its way back into my arsenal, on a limited basis, depending on 2.0... For me, the Achilles Heel of QS is its dependency on PS. I loooooove that SP is a standalone, and in my experience, is rock-solid, stable as hell. Last couple times I tried using QS, it was more buggy than an Amish cruise-in.... Perhaps it is now tons more stable in 2.0.

And there are a couple other threads where we discuss QS vs Substance. Do a search.

You're welcome. I should also mention that working in SP is an absolute joy. I could not say the same for QS 1.8, from the somewhat limited time I spent with it. The interface(s) and little menus often felt like obstacles -- in the way -- of me winning bread, which I love, second only to wifey... Substance Painter is laid out in a way that just feels right, in pretty much every way. Very ergonomic. Great flow. Allows me to be creative, rather than hunting for shit. Hope this helps.

While I must say the quality of the stuff I've seen put out of Quixel is excellent Substance Painter is way superior when it comes to workflow and it's constantly improving.

Empty words until release, but don't make the mistake of judging Quxel suite on 1.8. V2 is not the same programme by any means. It is VERY close to release. Maybe you should try the free trial of SP until you see what V2 of Quixel looks like.

Yeah I just realized that V2 will be very different so what I just said in the post above might not apply anymore soon. (hopefully not Megascans soon)

I am in the beta of Quixel 2, it's way better than 1.8, and it's basically ready to be released.
