Thanks!
I should make a correction on my post:
Latest stable release is 2.24.1 R3, date is November not August. I applied a few easy and critical fixes. But download section is not up-to-date, latest version is 2.24.0 R1. That's older. I think there is a problem on.

R17.032 / Win7 / 2.24.2-TEST3.1

when you group objects under a spline the first child will not be rendered.

when you change geometryengine to resend all scene data, it will be rendered

It's related with "auto" mode. Please try "manuel" or "all movable". I'll fix it.

i discovered this problem when using the plugin WinGen http://www.dns-plugins.de/winGen.php
when i use now manual or all objects movable it renders in PV but without materials.
in the LV everything is ok. the materials are not on the wingenobject itself. it has some materialslots where you can drop your materials in. it is like a userdata field.
when i add a nullobject to the scene with all materials of the wingen object, the wingenobject renders with materials in the pictureviewer.

I suppose that's related with latest addon. Which is about unused material optimisation in PV.

Hi aoktar,
thanks for your great work! We have switched to octane for our LEGO web series and love the plugin :)

But we've got a strange behaviour here:
When using an animated C4D camera with focus distance = 0, everything is ok in standard viewport.
But when using the LV or rendering the animation in picture viewer, the camera jumps around randomly.

Win10 64, C4D R17, 2.24.x

Any ideas or hints?

Thanks & best regards!

Hi Aoktar, thanks for the effort , the new hair render engine is great!

Win8.1/R16.050 R17.032/TEST3.1

1.It crashes every time I use the Show in PV function in LV, but it's for R16 all the time, sometimes in R17. And somehow the title in both versions of C4D is still "Live Viewer 2.23.2 R6.2"(Edit:Figure it out, if I restart the LV the title would change to 2.24.2) :)

2.I can't still remove the sub category that was created in the LocalDB. Reported it in Bug board before.

3.I can't drag&drop mat in local db to change it's category.

4.More about the LiveDB dialog, if there is a mat in my scene which has the same name as the mat in DB, I can't drag&drop mat from DB to scene. If I D&D a mat from the mat panel into LocalDB, it will overwrite my original mat in the LocalDB withough warning or other options. It's sometimes annoying when working on a complex project where there is tons of material that might have same names to some mats in the LocalDB

5.Could you update the Node Editor so that It's able to link start from the input port (right side) to the output port (in the other direction)? It would be much more handy since the node editor is many people's essential tool when making materials.

And, if it's possible to get a download progress bar(indicator) for the LiveDB, it'd be awesome

Thanks again for your effort.
