Hello,

Is there anyway in Octane to get some kind of Atmosphere, based on the physical sun colors ?

Image

Currently to make a fog-atmosphere fade (horizon) emulation, I render my scene in Z-Depth and just photoshop-trick it, but I'm looking forward to have some realistic way of atmospheric in Cinema4D + Octane.
Anyone already made this ?

Thanks !

Hi,
have a look at this fantastic render by Karba:

There are two cubes, one big for the distant haze and one smaller for the fog at ground with a specular material with index at 1 and SSS in the medium node. The camera must be outside of the cubes.
Another way is to have an inverted sphere at the same place of the camera.
With the upcoming v3, all this stuff will be much more easier ;)
ciao beppe
