Missing material attributes on 2.24.0 - R1

Hi!
So I installed standalone 2.24.1 and the C4D plugin 2.24.0 - R1 on my new iMac (Yosemite 10.10.5).
It seems that those are not compatible (for me anyway).
When I make a new material all the attributes are missing and the Octane tags are missing all attributes too.
I now use the 2.23.2 R6.1 build instead which seems to work, a bit buggy with some crashes.

Anyone else have had these experiences?

no problem here with El Capitan, please try with the latest stable version v2.24.1 R3:

I didn't realise there was a newer version lurking in the forum, just downloaded the lastest version from my account
I'm pretty new to this renderer but now I know where to loook.

Unfortunately this version is very unstable and buggy on my machine. Crashes cinema an freeze the whole computer very often.
Think I'll stick to the 2.23.2 R6.1 build instead.
