After plenty of research and testing and the increase in gpGPU computing

Me and a friend have decided to start building external GPU boxes.

We just bought a MDX-40A cnc milling machine for the case, The design element of the case will be along the lines if the PARVUM SYSTEMS look.

All the parts are available online minus the enclosure. We are not manufacturing the PCB and RISERS, just offering a all in one solution.

Given the fact a NESTOR box is in the 2500 range and mostly out of range for 80% of people then the Amfeltec is at 500 but really doesn't offer a clean look the fact cables and psu is exposed was really off putting to us.

Mostly we where going to build eGPU enclosures, But we have 2 people interested in the 3 GPU cases so we have shifted for now to these.


Some Specs.

300 L x 300 W x 160 H
MAC & PC compatible
PCIE 3 and 2.0 (Available x1 slot for Connection)
any ATX power supply (Max Length 280mm)
3 GPU’s
Acrylic Casing
2x 120mm Fan Housings.


Basically all we are charging is 50us per case on top of the parts.
ATM the parts list is at roughly 300, But the more we buy the cheaper it will be.
So if there is enough interest we could be able to get the parts 30-50 cheaper.


Il have some drawings up soon for you guys to look at. Let me know what your thoughts are on these?


PS. testing along side the amfeltec we see no difference in rendering.

I've got a expresscard slot with a hd3000 gpu on a lenovo laptop, would that be compatible?
And what does it look like? Maybe you can make a render of it?

that's really interesting idea =) really curious to see Your sketches/renders!

..all I can recommend for now - space cards properly, if You planing to leave aircooling, so Guys could choose non-reference design coolers (a.k.a. STRIX, Windforce, etc.) - with custom curves You can extract additional performance from those..however if You put them too close You will not get any performance boost, but actually going to loose (quite a lot).

I'm not to hijack Your thread here =) just exposed some interesting info that aligns with the theme You're keeping here. With that in mind, personally I'd really like to see custom cases with possibility to house 360 (square, 9x 120mm, like MORA rad) on top of the box, to be able to cool let's say 3x dual GPU cards with water to get additional gains in term of performance =)

Cheap custom cases that house 6 gpus and amazing airflow would be very desirable. They don't have to be fancy with tons of bells and whistles, just functional and well built.

Totally agree thats why there will be 7 cm spacing between the pcb's, so basically 4 single slot space's per gpu except the last on that will be close to the side but will have vents for non reference coolers.

and yes the height will allow all non reference models. I have some 780 duc ii cards and there around 5cm wider than reference .

In all honesty you better off at looking into the Corsair Carbide 540 for something like that.

here's a simple idea - cutouts You make for fans are one of the loudest =) I believe Puget systems (google up) made a comparison..-simple grills (or no grills at all) would give best results in terms of noise & performance =)

As for '360 rad', I had in mind 9x120mm monster (capable to be cooled with 4x 180mm fans) - there's little to no case (unless some ridiculously huge & pricey caselabs!) that could hold such piece - though it's the one of the best cooling option allowing GPUs to run very quite & at the same time have very high clocks =)

ADDED thoughts:

* Get slightly bigger the case;
(maybe for four GPUs, unless You can plug them..)
* dual 140mm instead of 120mm;
* dust filter intakes, no perforation;

getting backplate from Amfeltec & building 2-4 GPU rig in mATX case is the alternative You might be looking for =)

Seems like a great idea. Can these be daisy chained somehow? Sorry doing some research and don't know much about it.

Any idea on the cost? Hate the request a quote bs...
