Hey guys,

just a quick one here knowing that this might be a little off topic:
I am thinking about investing in an Wacom 27" Cintiq Touch for use with C4D and want to ask if someone is still using it with C4D and want to share his experience.
Is it worth the money and does it improve the workflow as told by Wacom Marketing?

Thanks

Ron

No one using such a device?
So it seems that it does not fit the promised workflow improvements :-(

Well i׳m using my Wacom intuos with c4d for a long long time (and also a lots of my c4d collages) - I just don׳t think there is a good reason to work with Cintiq and c4d (+ it׳s much more expensive)
There should be limitations working with the Cintiq, For example: limited and relatively small screen space (i can׳t imagine working with only one monitor and c4d). Or hard time navigating in the viewport.

But i don׳t think there should be incompatibilities, it should work fine but i just don׳t know if it׳s the right choice. in the end of the day c4d is a 3D program and not painting application.

Wacom promotes the Cintiq as ideal for 3D stuff like sculpting, texturing or painting. As for now I am working with mouse and keyboard in C4D and do not have experience with a tablet like Intuos as input device. As I need an additional big screen anyway I thought I could catch two flies at once. Would use it with together with my current screen.
Should I go with an Intuos instead?

Intuos is the safe and classic choice. honestly i don׳t know how cintiq integrates with c4d or any other 3d program.
Try to put your hands on one and see how it goes before purchasing.

I use a 27 inch Cintiq and love it. Great if your painting textures.. Though at least on Mac OS X i wish there was a way to make the right click menus in OS X pop up on the left hand side instead of under my hand. Other then that its great in substance painter and designer and such... i also use a 3dconnexion space pilot pro 3d controller.
that combo rocks! Just wish that Zbrush supported the 3d controller.. but Octane does !

Interesting. are you using the cintiq solo or with an additional monitor? And is it the touch version?
I have a 3d connexion space mouse somewhere in my drawer but could never get used to it. Wondering if your Pro version would do.

Thanks for sharing.
