Hi everyone,
i have a weird situation, whenever i try to load a max scene from the forum
(for example the corona-benchmark scene viewtopic.php?f=27&t=45804)
all the materials miss their textures, completly.
It even removed the filenames from the materials so its kinda hard to figure out what belongs where.
Asset tracking is completly empty too, and it happens to almost all scenes not setup by myself.
Same is with the octane settings, they are allways set back to default, (direct light, 16k samples etc.)
i wanted to look into some scenes how they setup the kernels but that is impossible due to the resetting problem ...
any ideas, im kinda lost by now ?
Textures / Settings gone - opening files from others

Hi,
thanks to gabrielefx i have a solution.
"Hi,
the latest release can't read previous scenes created with the latest Karba release (1.9). Jimstar programmed the plugin from scratch.
You need the two stage converter.
I haven't tried this script because I'm working with 1.9 plugin (based on 2.42). I don't see any marvelous improvements in the latest Jimstar releases.
I will wait for 3.0 final.
Otoy has to implement the converter internally without install-uninstall the plugins."
