Hi!

I'm an Octane user for nearly 2 years now, with Daz studio.
I work on my computer, a Msi GT70, and yes, it's a laptop. As it's a laptop, I have a lots of obvious cooling problems, and it's time for me to change, and going back to a classic computer.

My laptop specs:
Msi GT70
I7 3630QM
16 Gb RAM
GTX680M 4Go

Sadly, I'm absolutely not a computer specialist, and I would like to have some informations, as I may say a lot of stupid things!

I saw this configuration:

For what I understand about Octane: (Correct me if I'm wrong, I may say some big bullsh*ts!!):
-The textures are limited by their number and their mass/weight. With my actual computer, I can load about 6/7 differents characters (nudes, no background).
It seems to be related to the graphic card memory (for me, 4Go). So, GTX Titan are the only 12Go graphic cards existing, it seems to be the best choice for me. Even they are expensive, is it better to buy 1 GTX Titan, or a SLI of 2 GTX970, for example? I don't know if Octane will use the GC memory in addition (4Go + 4Go), or only 4Go.
If I but a SLI of 2 Titan, I will have available 12Go only, or 12 + 12?
If I buy Titan GC, do I will have some textures number limits?
The textures limit is probably the MAIN thing which makes me want to change my computer. It's a bit annoying when you created your scene, and have to delete some elements, to make the whole stuff fit in your 4Go limit.

-Octane asks a lot to the processor, which makes it heat a lot. With my laptop, I have obvious cooling problems, but I wonder how faster I will be with a classic computer, with the lastest i7 released. 4x faster?

-Octane and Daz looks to be Nvidia-friendly only. Not a problem to me, I always had nvidia, but would it be a problem if I had AMD?

-Would it be really interesting to have 64Go RAM, instead of the "usual" 32 Go RAM shown in a lot of "war machine" computers?

I can't say I'm in a "no-limit" budget, but I would hate to spend a bit less, and finally want to upgrade my computer later. I'm no specialist in computer, and with the parts price, I choose to ask to a professional, I don't want to risk anything and destroying a 5.000$ machine. Let's say, I'm in a 3.000 to 5.000€ budget.
Let's be honest on another point: If I begin to hurry about buying a new machine, it's a bit related to Fallout 4... :p

Thanks in advance!!

For 3-5K EUR you may have a beast machine that may be expanded greatly in the future. That scores 400 in octane bench. PM me.
