Aoktar maybe this is important.

I tried to install the plugin on cinema 4d 17. I downloaded the zip file, erase all the cdl64 except the R17 and the plugin didnt work. This time I erase all except R16 and the plugin works. Something wrong happens with c4dOctane-R17.cdl64 file.

Thanks for info. What's build/version numbers of R17?

Cinema 4D R17.016 (Build RB136011)

I have compiled with 17.032 sdk. Ex. When i compiled with 17.038's sdk, it can't run on 17.032. I'll ask for that.

thanks a lot for the new version!

it seems as if something goes wrong with R17 and the "template.l4d file.
i cant load any template to the prefs-folder an load it as default-template. octane crashes cinema imediately. when i delete the "template.l4d file in the prefs-folder:
C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\CINEMA 4D R17_8DE13DAD\prefs
then octane starts without any trouble.
i tried to create a fresh new template but whenever i save the template as "default template at startup" octane crashes while launching the octane-dialog.
it works without any trouble with v4d R14 so far.

Win 7 64bit
c4d R17.032
octane standalone 2.24.2

It crashes when you have saved Octane Dialog to startup layout. Maybe same reason?

it crashes always whenever i modify the standardlayout. for example: i just have to open a pluginpalette and octane crashes while initializing the dialog-window.

i am not shure if this bugreport is created during the octane-crash. i the mouse freezes and i have to quit c4d with the taskmanager

Not helpful. Can you describe the steps to produce crash? I don't know to use palettes.

In materials emission tab I cannot load a image-texture.
When I try to select it, it stays emty.

You can't. First create an emission texture later put any texture inside.
