Hi guys,

How do you hide reflection / refraction on light material or objects ? max object properties doesn't work in octane.

I can get invisible to camera working but it still shows up in glass reflection?

Thanks

It looks like you set your Reflection input on your glass to None. While this sounds correct in english, what it's telling the renderer is to revert to the default value which is 1, and not 0. Set it to value input and change the value to 0.

after many tests came to the conclusion that the fast glass has such a structure / map Where the reflection falloff adjusts the external card and mix through falloff adjusts the color of the glass

Thanks guys

Hi profbetis ,

Do you mean reflection value in glass material shader ? can you screen it pls
what I need is to exclude some lights in reflection, it can be done simply in vray. Is there a such function in octane?

For example I have objects / a few small lights inside the glass dome that I dont want the reflection to be seen in the glass.

Another question is the object inside the dome seems to be really dark, what can I do to make it look lighter without turn up the power value of the light ?

Cheers

J
