Hi

I just downloaded 901 SP2 demo and noticed that octane's direct camera navigation is very slow on the docked viewport. I have both 901 and 801 installed and in the later the viewport is fine with very fast camera navigation.

Do you have a separate video card as your display adapter? If I render and use the same card as the display adapter with Modo901, viewport navigation is very slow (because Modo901 using more graphics card resources for it's OpenGL display).

I noticed the same, mainly with live meshes, like moving my light to create scene lighting.
801 works fine.

Do you have Preferences->Octane->User Modo Render Cache ticked or unticked pls?

I did some testing on this. I think the main issue is that now there can be multiple viewports, so the triggering mechanism to indicate there is a new render available is much more complex than the Modo801 version of the plugin. I will see what can be done to improve things. In the long-term, the plugin will move completely to the Modo901 Render Cache API which will internally change the live geometry refresh system which should improve things.

I found that octane for modo plugin working much slower (delays) than Octane standart alone.
Render speed same (i did a lot of tests) but perfomance in plugin is much slower.

For example I saw how plugin working in Cinema 4d. It's same as in Octane standart alone.

My viewport working very good (fps).

Dmitry - this is pretty vague. If there are specific functions which are lagging, pls let me know, and provide a sample scene, so I can reproduce the delay and look for a resolution. In general, a lot of Mesh items will slow auto-updating and material updates considerably, because of the time required to process each Mesh item through the Modo API.
