Regarding the SLI connection 1 Slots, they can also be purchased on Amazon’s site [ http://www.amazon.co.uk/Alphacool-HF-SL ... ot+-+black ] {but they don't appear to be deliverable to the U.S. or an alternative product can be purchased from Swiftech [ http://www.swiftech.com/G1-4-MM-short-connector.aspx ], which is where I purchased mine.
Because I have 180+ GPU processers in 16 tweaked/multiOS systems - Character limit prevents detailed stats.

I'll be using this guide in the future.
Because I have 180+ GPU processers in 16 tweaked/multiOS systems - Character limit prevents detailed stats.

Isn't the fitting to the right too long for 0 slot distance? (not 1 slot distance) ?

the swiftec ones looks to long, it a 1 slot connector. you nee slot 0, the one i linked fits perfect.

after some modification inside the nvidia bios i´m able to use 6 titan x cards, thats 1824 iomen on the supermicro board.

tomorrow the rendering ends an im able to put more cards inside the node. fingers crossed....

Yes. Using 0 slot distance would have my video cards (which all have thick back plates) too close together, causing the heat from the adjacent back plates, if I can insert cards with the back plates in place, pressing against the next card, and thus would begin to defeat the water cooling of the cards. Obviously, I incorrectly interpreted Thunderbolt’s reference, “i choosed the alphacool titan x waterblock. the connection between was the slots i used this http://www.alphacool.com/product_info.p ... black.html. “ to mean that he was using 1- slot, not 0 slot, connectors. So now it seems that I may not be able go the single slot route. I will probably have to go back to my original plan for this one of my 17 rebuild projects. That involves staggering the cards with 1 in a x8 to x16 low profile riser card in an x8 PCIe slot, 1 on an x16 riser cable (molex connector powered if necessary) in a x8 to x16 low profile riser card in an x8 PCIe slot, 1 in a x8 to x16 low profile riser card in an x8 PCIe slot, etc. My primary purpose isn’t to reap the beauty of having six Titan Zs and one Titan Black, all with thick backplates, side-by-side since this build will also house eight original 2013 Titans (self-converted to hybrids) connected to the motherboard by two Amfeltec x4 GPU Oriented Splitter cards. I am not shedding any tears because my goal of having twenty-one 6G GPU processors in a single system is currently financially feasible only through a self-build. Like I feel about Octane’s 12 GPU limit unless it's capability based, I also deplore the limits then placed on the number of Titan Zs that could be purchased at any one time from any one source, which helped to contribute to my having a variety of water blocks for my Titan Zs. With so may variables, to achieve my primary purpose - which is to make this one system have an extraordinary number of extraordinarily cold GPUs - will cause it’s look to be utilitarian rather than beautiful. I can live with that. I want the rendering equivalency of 23 - 25 GTX 980s, i.e., that is the rendering equivalency of an OctaneBench score of 2,300 to 2,500, thought only my non-Otoy 3d GPU rendering tools will be its full beneficiaries.

I again give special thanks to you and Glimpse for inspiring me to create this thread and for helping to inspire me to not give up earlier in my journey: When I began this thread I wanted my Tyan system to support 14 GPU processors, but I started to give up when it seemed that I could get it to support only 8 GPU processors. Now that Tyan supports 16+ GPU processors - more than double. I'm on way to converting more of my systems to massively GPU populated systems, thus reducing my GPU oriented system count, better deploying associated hardware such as memory and storage and reducing my associated licensing and electrical power costs.
Thanks for your updates. Your explorations seem to confirm that which I feel even more fervently today: If one wants to build a massively GPU populated system, one should head to Supermicro's (or secondly, Tyan's) site and look for one of their current motherboards that otherwise suites their needs. And this is particularly so given the vintage of your Supermicro and my Tyan (circa: 2009 releases [the first LGA 1366 systems]).
