I cant seem to get light to emit from an object if the Emission is coming from a Scattering Medium.
I get bounce with PMC or Path Tracing but no direct light. I'm using Direct Light rending.
If I use a diffuse material and use the emission channel I get light cast and I can see it on other objects - even with Direct Lighting.
Why is this please?
Cheers!
Scattering Medium - Emission cast light?

Hi,
I can confirm that the emission node in the medium node does not work if applied to a diffuse material, the proper emission node should be used in this case.
On the other hand, the emission node in the medium node works as expected if applied to a specular material node that does not have a proper emission channel
