SketchUp has Collada .dae support now?
Announced last summer on Google's blog, the free version of SketchUp does have Collada export now from the 3D export dialog. My initial test of taking the SU .dae into other programs wasn't a success but does any one else have experience with it and its settings?

Hi,
I made some quick and dirty test from freeSU -> Vue7 via .dae when 7.1 came out and everything went fine, much better than the (supposed) .skp built-in import in Vue (win32 only - .dae is for Mac too). I used default settings AFAIR but, as I said, they were some extremely simple scenes. Usually problems arise when it's a real job and you're short in time... following Murphy's law
.dae is a slightly variable format from what I heard (I'm no expert), so every app with collada import might have its own issues with it...
cheers,
A
