It finally is here - after many months of working, testing and rendering countless hours, we're proud to say, RedSpec TGX Hair is finally here!
We wanted to develop a shader that offers the same ease of use for OctaneRender users what we've introduced with our RedSpec TGX tailored skin shader products and believe we can say: We have succeeded.

Tired for painstakingly tweaking hair material settings inside OctaneRender? These times are over! You can now get a dedicated RedSpec shader suite developed specifically for all transmapped hair figures and props.
The special part about it is, that you can apply it to any existing hair figure or prop, that you already own, independently from the figure it was developed for, as long as it comes with a diffuse and bump map. We even developed a special function called auto-displacement (beta), that improves geometry fidelity of lower-res hair figures and props, by utilizing displacement map technology.

RedSpec TGX Hair goes no shortcuts when delivering breathtakingly beautiful quality rendered hair, by utilizing diffuse-map-enhancing, sub-surface-scattering and specular-map-tweaking technology - all applied with the power of 3-4 simple clicks.
It comes with a detailled 15+ multi-page quick-start-guide to show you the ropes.

In addition to that we've recorded several video tutorial, to show you, how the shaders are applied in their native host applications - check them out here: https://vimeo.com/137464870 (Poser) / https://vimeo.com/137807687 (DAZ Studio)

You can purchase RedSpec TGX Hair now, through the shop of our just re-designed homepage here: http://redspec-sss.com
We're offering individual packs for the OctaneRender plug-ins for Poser and DAZ Studio, as well as a bundle-deal.

We're really looking forward to your RedSpec TGX Hair renders - let them roll!

Happy Rendering to you all!

Noel

PS: If you have had problems with our Bentley Hair shaders purchased BEFORE 01.09.2015, you may qualify for a free upgrade, as we will discontinue that product. Please contact us via sales"at"redspec-sss"dot""com" and make sure to hold your original purchasing receipt from DAZ3D, as well as your order #, full name and e-Mail address, that you purchased the shaders with. Also please allow for 1-2 days time so we can validate your original purchase with DAZ3D.

PS2: Presets for strand hair (read geometry-based hair, not transmapped hair figures) will be released as a free update in the near future. These will work great on beard figures and other strand-based hair products.

Just want to say that these hair shaders are quite nice! Tried them out on a few different hair models, and it seems to work great on all of them without any need for tweaking. I'm especially pleased with the results when using the auto-displacement version. Thanks for the hard work:)

Hey oofnish,

thanks for your kind words - they're really appreciated.
These are some great comparison renders - very well lit and you can really see the difference of the shader presets quite well - great job!
How much?
As mentioned above, RedSpec TGX Hair goes for 19,99 € - there is also a bundle available, if you'd like to get it for the OctaneRender for DAZ Studio and Poser plug-in simultaneously.

Thanks, I was probably a bit blind when I didn't see the price on the page. A question though - how long does normally take the processing of the order. I did order the skin shaders (M4F/G2F), got a PayPal confirmation about the purchase but the page where you enter the order number and e-mail still tells me that there is no order found and I received no link to download via separate e-mail as the page states I should... ?

Must have been a minor hiccup with our file-distribution system - everything should be okay again now.
I manually added your order - you should have received your product download-links via e-Mail :)

Hi Noel,

Finally I just purchased the hair shader as I'm impressed by the displacement shader.
Look good, better than what I test myself on my hair shader :D
I only test on "Side Tail Hair Genesis 3 Female" and lost the opacity map. I have to reload/locate the opacity map each time.
Not test on other hair yet. Oh, forget to tell you that I tested on the 3.0.0.6 version of OcDs. I will try on the 2.24 version.
