hi,

just testing a bit test1 version,

it seems more lagging in viewport nav when liveviewer is in action.

ps/i confirm editing is smoother in previous version (with same scene)

Seems like unexpected. It should be as reverse of your report. Are you sure both have same options like "All movable"? Also are you sure gpu options are same?

I retest again,
confirm gpu settings , c4d r16 updated, scene (1 obj 1millionpoly,a plane and a sun, pathtracing), octane settings are same in both.

with "test 1" version , its like frames jumping in viewport when i turn around object with liveviewer rendering.
with "05.05.2015" version it's very smooth in the viewport.

strange ?

If you mean that navigating directly through Live Viewer yes it can be slower. There is some differences. But It should be much better while editing from C4D's viewport or object manager. Is it?

Hi;

Having a big problem.

After updating from 2.23.2 rc4 my LV started crashing in some scenes. It renders OK to picture viewer but when i send the scene in LV it hangs at "updating data".

Here's the worst part: I reverted back to 2.23 by deleting everything (from octane installation to appdata files in user folders) but the problem persisted.

Any solution?

Thanks.

PS: Win7, c4d 16.050, both octane and plugin ver:2.23

It's very hard to estimate without knowing content of your scenes and resulting geometry. But my estimation you are using "check geometry->Auto" enabled. Try with disable and drop some feedback about results. There is a explanation about this parameters. And a diagram about export process.

Ah, going to 2.24 probably re-enabled it and i didn't notice. Because i was running the same scene in 2.23.2 without any problems.

Thanks.

When you activate it that causes all objects become movable. This causes to generate much nodes. In some very intensive scenes you can reach nodes limitations. Please read my other messages about.

Sadly the problem came back in a random fashion now and it is getting really frustrating. Mainly because i didn't have this sort of a problem with the 2.23 installation and even going back to that doesn't solve the issue.

I've disabled the auto check for geometries and connected most of the geometries to reduce number of objects in the scene. It loads up fine at first but after a couple of re-sending the Live Viewer hangs for minutes until i force quit.
