Hi everyone,
I am wondering if there is a limitation in demo version ?
I use 1.022 x64.
Octane crash when importing an OBJ file of 20 181Ko.
It's an export from Modo.
Please let me know.

Oh, I forgot to give some info :
I'm using an i7 930 with 8Gb of RAM, a GTS 250, Seven Pro 64, CUDA 3.01

There are a few limitations to the demo, but nothing that would affect the importing of the obj file. The only limitations are the inability to save scenes or images, you're limited to the resolution it is set at, and beyond that I am not completely sure. Most likely it is an issue with the exporting as this is usually the problem. The problem is that as much as obj is a standard format, many host apps make them a little differently from each other which sometimes creates import problems. Generally the plgin helps, but those are only available to licensed customers at the moment. Try making sure that all your faces are calculated outside, remove any double verts, and other general cleaning procedures. If that still doesn't work try uploading it here so we can take a look at it and see what the trouble might be.

Have you tried loading the demo scene files? If these load then it is most likely your obj file. If not then it has to do with something else, most likely driver issues or a bad install.

Hmm. Not sure exactly how you mean. Try reinstalling just as a good measure and list what your system specs are.
