Yep, this is the key. Standardizing them throughout your office another challenge.

I thought so, projects change SO much it always seemed like there would be too many variations and too much setup required to build the material base (for documentation) then a broad enough asset base (for representation options) *

That said, I have a nice retail rollout in working on which has a set of 40 predefined materials which it would be worth spending the time on; typical visuals as part of our deliverables are a few AXO's and 2-6 perspectives based on the width of shopfront and size of the finished fit-out.
Only hesitation is that it's an interiors project and it may be difficult to get consistent results on the perspectives from the different spaces & different light levels without a more hands-on approach than I can afford... It's a good test piece though; there's another 10 fit-outs this year then up to 40 next year!

Thanks for the pep-talk Seeker! :)

It would be great if someone were able to put together a simple tutorial on doing this pls? I think it would be beneficial for a lot of OctaneRender for Revit users.

I'm happy to record it when I get to it, I'll need to make some demonstration animations to show my team how to maintain the setup anyway.
Can't promise a timeline at the moment though, sorry.
