Octane does not render sequences correctly when in the negative part of the timeline. I'm not sure if this is a known issue. I know Bullet doesn't support negative numbers. There may be other things too. The scene I'm working on doesn't have any Bullet issues.
Anyway, say I tell LightWave to render frames -10 to 10. The first frame Octane renders is -9. The timeline position indicator is on -10, but the Octane render window reports that it's rendering -9 and it does indeed render -9. So I could compensate for that by telling LW to render from -11 to 10. Except that when the timeline gets to -1 Octane renders and saves 0, and it names the file 0. Then the timeline goes to frame 0 and Octane renders frame 0 again. From then on they're in sync. The outcome for me would be acceptable except that Octane has rendered frame 0 twice.
It doesn't happen too often, but I definitely need to render in the negative area sometimes and it's really important that it work correctly. I can cope with this no problem but it would be nice if it could be fixed.
Thanks!
