Hey guys,
Just a quick question: I've been messing around with the demo a bit in Cinema 4D and I've noticed vertex maps aren't supported, which I found to be kind of a bother because they're so convenient for making grimy edges without a cavity map (I work in OS X so to my knowledge, there isn't a good application for creating cavity maps). Is there possibly a workaround or is this just one of many things I probably haven't gotten around to testing that just plain doesn't work in Octane?
Thanks.
Vertex map in Cinema 4D Octane plug in?

I used to do Cavity maps with Vray&c4d with this plugin: https://cinemaplugins.com/c4d-plugins/t ... rtex-maps/ (Just more easy way to do grimy edges with weight maps like you said)
But in Octane it is much more easier! The dirt shader can do magnificent things with some other nodes , check it out: https://vimeo.com/100085092
About the integration in Octane i actually don't 100% sure, so i'll Aoktar answer your question.

yes we don't have this support.I'll add when it built. It should be in to do list for 3.0.

+1 on Vertex Maps.
A lot of the texture work from Man Vs Machine / Simon Holmedal would be impossible without.
Also there are some fantastic python scripts for animating vertex maps so support for C4D vertex maps in Octane would be awesome, rather than a custom implementation, where we can't use existing tools and scripts.
Thanks!
