I can't seem to render out to PSD

Hello..
I'm a new user and I'm trying to send out my scene to a psd file for work in Photoshop.
Somewhere half way along the render it has a very quick error message in the left hand corner, but I can't read it because it displays so quikly.
I can render to preview, though colours vary wildly from what I see in the live viewer.
Rendering to Picture viewer gives me nothing but black.
I thought I'd matched the settings from Octane to the C4D Render Engine.
Most of the geometry is now polygons..
I'm in love with the pic in the live viewer and so is my client.. what am I doing wrong?

What happens when you render it on small res?

Have not tried that yet, also, need it in high res for print..

sure, that's need to understand your problem. Otherwise we can't understand it.

Ah it seems to render now, at half the intended size.. might have to up the dpi then to make up for the lack of actual size... will keep you posted.

Always you should check free vram on bottom of rendered image. Green texts. It shows your free vram. If you don't have got free room, it will stop. Also for black background, check your kernel settings. Alpha channel and keep environment.

Progressing slowly, but surely

If you need more free vram, disable opengl in c4d. Close some other software. Disable first gpu if you have multigpu. We have new frame buffer system in 3.0. It will use system ram to render much bigger images.
