Maya render, low GPU utilization

Has anyone noticed that their GPUs are not being fully utilized? We have 3 980-ti cards that are each only hitting somewhere between 30%-50% utilization during a render. When I run the Octane Bench test I see the GPUs jump to 99% utilization.

Rendering with Maya 2015 through Deadline.

This happens to me as well and I solve it by rendering multiple instances (3 or 4) per machine so that I can stay around 100%

Thanks for the tip. That certainly does help to maximize our GPU usage but I would like to figure out why Maya/Octane wouldn't use as much GPU as it could with just one task.

From my side works fine. maybe try to render settings set render priority as high and activate the 3gpu on the scene with that.

setAttr "octaneSettings.GPU[0]" 1;
setAttr "octaneSettings.GPU[1]" 1;
setAttr "octaneSettings.GPU[2]" 1;

and have a try "for me works fine.

Actually, I'm finding that 2 out of 5 of my graphics cards aren't being used at all in Maya, even though they're selected in the GPU config list.

Wondering if this is a bug in the latest build...?

So this seems to be a bug only with Maya 2016. Went back to Maya 2015 (where I usually live for production now) and all 5 of my GPUs are being utilized...

Although utilization does seem to be down around 67% compared with 97% in Octane standalone even in Maya 2015.
