Andy from McNeel means, you could update the Octane scene without to reload the geometry, only by moving it in the Octane kernel.
Can you pls provide a link to this info?

Link to the WIP forum is sent per PM.

Here a graphic that show the problem of the loading times during rendering an animation - large gaps at the GPU power graph. This gaps stay constant, no matter how much graphic power is added to the machine. Here I see a big potential for improvements. For this example only 30% of the GPU power is used over the time.

As I've said before - I think Rhino is the wrong app for what you are trying to do. It is a great modeller, and animation is not it's strength. You would be better looking at other 3d apps which are better suited to your requirements.

I understand - so back to my question - doe's Modo or Cinema4D support real time update at the Octane kernel? This two package could be interesting for me.

On the other side I like Rhino and it could be great, if the McNeel team and you find ways to improve the Rhino animation rendering. ;)

For Modo - pls refer to the manual - specifically the Load All Frames Into Octane property. https://docs.otoy.com/#42Rendering%20an ... Animations

I think c4d could do what you want; although I'm not an expert so maybe get the Demo and try for yourself.

I do know there's a good transfer plugin rhino.io for taking scenes from rhino to c4d...

Thank you for suggestions.

PS: looks like the manuals are down, file (Modo) not exist if I try to download it.
