What are you all using for fire in animations?

I made a fire shader for this still:

if you like I can post how I made it. It mainly consists of falloff nodes... and I couldn't get it right... but it's as close as I could get...
not sure how it performs if you animate though...

i would by an alpha animated sprite and put it over a flat plane. Hopefully octane 3 will have all this stuff
