Issue with Alpha Channel

Have a strange issue when using alpha channel in conjunction with emmisive material. The red beams use emmissive material to fake laser light.
Don't understand why the red beams ar cut whenever no other object is beyond them.

Can someone help?

Not sure if this relates to your issue but I was having problems with my alpha channel too...

This helped.
I had noticed this thread before but did not look close enough into it. The solution is to use 32bit EXR with settings described.
