encode such high quality gifs
I'm using photoshop.
The quality thing is not really a software problem but more a content problem.
I'm used to think to the Gif compression very early in each animations, this is the first constrain i'm trying to deal with just after the main idea pops.
In each stage i keep this question in mind : How to make this project Gif friendly ?
The key thing is to create something with minimal pixel variations between frames.
The second important part is to use a minimal color count.
The last thing is to create animation with a minimal frame number.
Most of those animations do not have more than 25 or 30 frames.
They all have a very graphic/contrast look too.
Gif compression do not like smooth gradient or noise.
