Hey guys,

i'm just wondering if there is a possibility to adjust the DOF in a not physical correct way like you can do in the native cinema camera by setting the front and rear point of the blur in the "details" tab.
So the thing is, when i set and change the aperture in the octane camera tag it only affects the amount of the blur but not the size/gradient of the sharp area.
Can this only be changed by changing the focal length?

I was thinking about doing it with a depth pass but unfortunately the scenes i'm working on are full of transparencies and refractions so there are lots of issues of overlapping geometries.
So actually i do need a solution where the dof is rendered straight into the beauty pass.

have a nice day,
Jonas

All parameters are as you see in Standalone or camera imager in camera tag. There is not any option for tweaking as back and front. It's also not a physical approach. Probably that's the reason why we don't have it.
