we're bulding something new more suitable for GPUs.

You'll find out when we launch the first beta 2.3 RCs.

Radiance
do you have any idea how long it will take for release ?

we're not sure, when it's finished and well tested we'll start putting RCs on the release candidates forum. probably in 2-3 weeks or so.
My operation/sickness has severely delayed the roadmap...

i'm back on my feet yes.
this week we will be putting online the new customer area and database so people can print invoices manage license keys, which takes all the manual work of my hands.
I think we'll be able to supply the first RC's in a few weeks.

Give the guy a break and stop asking for a date. 100 euros doesn't give you a license to bury him.

 some people are just maniacs... I also wish to use Octane in production sometime soon, but stop the pressure, man!

I'm sure that chrishau didn't mean to be so harsh, but the truth is that 2.3 will be here when time comes, and that it will amaze us as much as previous releases if not more, and asking and pressuring Radiance or other Octane member about won't make it happen any sooner.
Radiance, relax and take it easy, besides, most of my better ideas come when I'm "off" work, and my mind is free to roam (the 2 brain cells left at least.)
Btw, in my current job I've convinced my client that he doesn't need interior lights coming from the windows, I've told him that it would give the wrong idea about energetic efficency if at daylight the building had interior lights on...... hahahaha, truth is I didn't want to go back to other renderer plus it looks so much better in octane. So it's not a matter of Octane limitations, is a question of how to use your tools right and make the most of them. ;)
