I really dont get a couple of the comments tho, like wrong FOV and not seeing horizons in real life, I have horizons in almost every picture I take in real life. FOV is your lens.. I have some pretty wide angle lenses, as well as super long one. How does one define "wrong" ?
personally I think if you changed the scale of the bricks and planks, changed the aperture of the shot it'd look fine. (I think there's a few more than 20 poly's here too, did you see the full model in another thread?)
if it were ME rendering it, I'd (going by the full model) change to a water level view looking up with a nice fat lens on it
Good luck with the image!
cheers

I later saw the rest of the project in full scale in Competition thread. But here he only choose to show this. It still looks just like basic sketchup model made for the sake of playing with 3d
With sea horizon I am kinda lost in translation, can't describe it properly, but this is not what happens on camera in real life.
About your suggestion of view, I agree, that would be much better composition.
But I still stand by this being very bad overall, like I said...find references, either real photos, or other arch-viz (there are many to this theme), I think it's kinda arrogant to show terrible job with smile on face and just await some compliments... it's like when untalented 13 years old kid brings terrible painting to her mom, mom will say it's wonderful but in fact...it's not. I am only offering criticism, he put it up here for it
