Added a Native Texture Manager to Plugin. Thanksxcaseyx wrote:Would it be possible to support the texture manager when using the imageTexture channel inside octane materials?
example usage,
I have a project that has 40 animated image sequences as diffuse and bump, they all path to C:/folder/otherfolderA/renders/filename_001_0000
now, if I for some reason have to change the folder name ie, C:/folder2/otherfolderA/renders/filename_001_0000
I have to manually reset all the texture paths. Rather than just opening cinemas texture manager and replacing folder with folder2

Hello Ahmed,
would it be possible to change the position of the render info text in PV?
When rendering small image sizes the info is cropped and its impossible to see if the slaves are in the game or not.
Maybe 2 lines in the lower left corner?
Thank you!
Ron

Hi Ahmet,
Is it possible to add PSB support for saving render passes? PSD files have a limit of 2GB so if if I try to render a hi-res image with lots of render passes in 32-bit it goes above that limit and doesn't save and I have to save it manually from the C4D picture viewer.
Thanks,
Rico

I hope that's possible. I'll check it to add.rsuleyman wrote:Hi Ahmet,

With particles, we are using scatters. Scatter can work just with random texture. So that's not possible to do with scatter node. With 3.0 i'm hoping that OSL system will give everythings which i expect.xcaseyx wrote:Im sorry if I've missed this posted elsewhere, but xp-3 support just not possible? I would love to be able to get color from speed, control scale, etc.

what about this little tiny issue? You think it's possible and does make sense?

Btw, some tiny issues not small sometimes. It's tricky to add new lines to render buffer. I'll think for that.

Working in Octane for C4D feels awkward and poorly integrated, the UI & UX are pretty rubbish really. Can you please expand the team working on Octane for C4D to address aesthetic / usability issues? While the work Ahmet is doing is superb, UI architecture and design is clearly not his strong suit. The only way to improve things would be employing someone with the right experience in these areas. It would be nice when Octane 3 arrives if there was a new and highly improved workflow, interface & experience within Cinema 4D… Something that didn't feel so "backyard" or rough around the edges.
