Hi guys,
I've been wanting to pull the trigger on Octane for a while now, but with Version 3 being released soon, I don't want to have to pay an additional fee to update when it comes out. Is there plans for any prepurchasing for version 3 even at a slightly increased cost which will allow access to version 2 in the mean time? Would be great if this were an option, as I know a few of my colleagues are waiting for version 3 to release before purchasing as well.

Get OctaneVR that is free at the moment & has all the features of latest OctaneRender =) by then (when licence going to end) You might have more news..

Would love to, but I'm a C4D user and there's no C4D plugin for OctaneVR.

Cost of version 3 is likely to be cost of version 2 + upgrade price. You won't lose out buying version 2 now; just the inconvenience of shelling out dollars twice
