You may have noticed the new OTOY / Octane website. This new site is designed to enable easy access to all OTOY products and information.
The website has a new, fresh look and feel, but the navigation has been largely retained for familiarity and ease of use.
We hope that all 'wrinkles' have already been captured, but if there are any glitches please let us know.
Finally, please don't forget to check out the OTOY and Oculus 'Render the Metaverse' competition here

old style...
few adjustments:
add parallax effect when scrolling with mouse.
I don't like the pink red blended header, I prefer a solid red.
On iPad texts are too big, I will check on my workstations with Safari and Firefox

I especially like the new home / starting page.
It gives a more informative first impression of the different departments of Otoy products.

Does streaming the OctaneVR demo through X.IO drain resources from the website by any chance? The new site seemed especially zippy for me but just when OctaneVR launched pages occasionally seem to be taking much longer to load now (probably on my end, though I am on FIOS and no other sites seem to be affected).

No the live stream backend is handled on x.io which is completely separate from the otoy site. The slowdown is likely from the browser having to decode the live OVR demo stream in JavaScript. The live JS dem is not ideally meant to be running in the background while you browse other parts of the site. If we do turn this into more than a demo, we will probably have a way for the PC version of the ORBX viewer to open x.io based streams launched from the , and so much more efficiently (lower latency, better quality than pure JS.pegot wrote:Does streaming the OctaneVR demo through X.IO drain resources from the website by any chance? I checked the new site, I have some mixed feeling but I have to admit that the VR demo is truly impressive. I'm really looking forward for what Otoy will be able to do this year
