Hi Will - I am not following you - sorry. The installer defaults to Revit Architecture 2016, so you need to select the correct folder if your Revit.exe is in another folder. There is no way for the installer to know which versions of Revit you have installed, so you need to direct it to the correct location.

Pretty sure your issue is the Nvidia drivers being pre-344.

Hi Paul - have you had time to look into this further?

In the meantime I have installed the recommended performance driver from nvidia. I don't know what's up, the version number is now lower than it was previously: 332.21 has been replaced by 311.91. Hmmm.

Regardless, I still receive an error when trying to run Octane from within Revit:

"Unable to load DLL 'Octane2WrapperDemo.dll': The specified procedure could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007F)"

On exiting Revit, another message tells me that:

"Revit cannot run the external application "OctaneRender for Revit""

Hi Will

Octane requires Nvidia drivers 344 or later to run. It will not run on driver version 311 (that is a very old driver - Sep 2013).

Paul - I owe you an apology. I have a newer driver installed and i am up and running.
My attempt to upgrade the first time sent me in the wrong direction.
Second time was a success. Thanks for being patient.
