We've been hard at work to make sure this gets out with the G3 / V7 release / shortly after.
We're proud to announce our newest in shader development: RedSpec TGX tailored MK2 for Genesis 3 Females.

Since Genesis 3 has a reduced limb count (17 down from 28 on Genesis 2) it has become even more important to utilize shaders, which distribute skin effects on body parts where it makes sense, and reduces them in body zones, where they are obsolete.
This is were our SSS transparencies come into play - just like before with our RedSpec TGX tailored shaders, you're getting 6 highly detailed SSS transparency maps, to evenly distribute sub surface scattering effects across the whole body.
The shaders work with every character / figure based on Genesis 3 - even Victoria 7 !

The shader is set not only to simulate everything that you've come to know from our recent entries in the TGX tailored series, but also now focuses on diffuse texture enhancement capabilities as well as several customization options for the user. This means, that you now have Hue, Saturation, Brightness and Contrast nodes,
to adjust the skin texture of your character to your liking - without changing the original node structure
Furthermore we've reduced skin glossiness due to user feedback and made the skin look more realistic in that way.Not a single node of the original tailored series shader was left untouched, to make this the best skin shader, we have released so far.

In addition we will make all these new features available FOR FREE for our TGX tailored Genesis 2 compatible shaders in the near future, updating to the MK2 development state.
Of course, this update will be free for existing customers as well.

This promo also shows RedSpec TGX hair our upcoming generic hair shader, which is currently undergoing internal testing. And will be available shortly.

RedSpec TGX tailored MK2 for Genesis 3 Females is on introductory sale right now from 29,99 € to 24,99€ currently only featuring support for the OctaneRender for DAZ Studio plug-in, but will be updated with corresponding Poser files, once a workaround has been found on how to make her work in that native host application.

The shaders are available for purchase now through this link: http://redspec-sss.com/elements_daz.html

Thanks for your time in reading this and of course, as always: Happy Rendering :)

Noel

will there be an update option for existing costumers?
We're currently checking if our current file distribution system can handle discounts based on previous purchases, since it is something we definitely would like to offer.

Will tell you guys more, once I have more info - stay tuned :)
Any more information about this possibility?

I really like you're shaders, however at this time i am a bit wary investing more money in G3 and OcDS. And also very similar products in regard to G2/G3. Since i already own quite a few of you're products i am really interested in this ;)

I've purchased pretty much all your Genesis 2 products, and they've been good with one enormous exception. The Bentley hair shader never worked, and was never updated. I held off asking for a refund from DAZ because I was led to believe it would be updated once a more stable version of OcDS was released. Now that it has I see there's a completely separate hair shader getting released? I have to say this is making me very reluctant to purchase any more of your products including this update to the G3 shader. Will customers who purchased the Bentley hair shader be fairly compensated?

As for the Bentley hair shader: We will release something in the next weeks , which will take care of that problem.
Hi Bmosalt. That's what I was asking in the "Latest Beta" thread too. Here's the Answer coming from Noel and I think, it meight be a refrence to the new hair shader he
was refering too in the Promo Picture.

I think they are really cleaning all things up now, but needed a stable base with the Plugin first...

Which is what we did over the last months and are completing internal testing as I type this.
Shouldn't be long from now on...

And yes: All users who have had problems with our Bentleys Hair shaders will receive our RedSpec TGX hair shader for free.
Since this won't be a hair shader tailored towards a specific hair figure / prop but one which can be used universally on strand / transmapped hair, I hope that counts as fair compensation. :)

We'll also have a dedicated hdri light pack ready at release to show, what the shaders are capable of.

As beat already mentioned: We had to wait until now, since 2.1 was not really stable enough and we definitely wanted to avoid another situation like with Bentley Hair again.

Again: Sorry for any inconveniences this might have caused for some of you.

Should you have any more questions: Please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers and Happy Rendering

Noel

Noel, There is an error on the installed File:
When I open the new Genesis3 duf, DAZ Studio asks for an "Iray" shader...
Could not find file: C:/Users/...../Studio4/Reality-Add-ons/shaders/iray/resourced/DTHDR-RUinsB-500.hdr
Looks like you accidently saved another shader in the DUF File...
You can skip it of course, the shaders work as the should, but if you dont have reality4, it's irritating.

Well...I see what happened there - actually doesn't have anything to do with Iray at all, so I'm not sure why it's asking for something sitting in an Iray folder.
Will release a hotfix after work today, getting rid of that message.

One of our testers must have left an HDRi sitting in the Environment slot of Octane - which is why that message appears...

As you already mentioned - the shaders will work nevertheless though.

Sorry !
