Couldn't find any thread on this one. I have "matte" checked on the diffuse shader, but I still see what I'm guessing is to be shadows from the meshes.

Anyone know how to completely remove the meshes with a matte shader assigned to them? But I want to retain the matte effect, as you can see in the image, around the chain area.

The image is in After Effects, with a transparent background, so you can see remnants of the meshes. I know it must be shadows being cast from the meshes onto themselves.

Yeah, the diffuse matte option is really only a shadow catching material. I know other users have been asking for a black hole type material for ages, there are whole threads about it, but as I haven't had any time on Octane for quite a while I'm not sure if it has been implemented or not. It may be possible with the new-ish Octane render layers but I haven't played with these yet.
