Rendering time was about 1 Hour in 3600 by 2000 with a gtx470
You know the scene, some modifications to the 3d model, texturing with photoshop and 3dsmax.
Hotpixels to remove fireflies then bloom and chromatic aberration added in photoshop.
That's it for now until I know what is the problem with glossy materials.
Second one, just different hour.

thanks, did you try to preview the material only ? it does the same thing, just to say I don't think it's related to my meshes.radiance wrote:nice work
i'm investigating the issue with the glossy sun.

i just had a check and everything seems ok (one small issue i noticed you use quads in your OBJ file, best always use triangles during export if the params are available).
the scale seems ok, and he's importing in meters.
the strange thing is that in a new scene everything renders fine, but his existing obj exhibits the issue.
I need some rest as it's been a long day but i'll look further tomorrow.
sam75 -> if you start a new project and import your OBJ, change the materials to diffuse (some are specular, eg the ceiling and floor),
then position sun and change to glossy it works fine here.
something must have been set somewhere that exhibits this issue.
i'll try to figure out why. it's definately a newcommer for me. never seen it before. (although maybe once, i think, but that was a scene scaling issue if i remember)

Thanks Tungee
.
And nice image Sam75, i liked your first preview in the WIP section and it looks even better now. I like the second variation the most, at noon time.
