Hello,
This an "out-of-the-box" quick render of Victoria 6HD. I just loaded the model and a camera, set materials and opened the Octane window. The only change I made was setting the sun to my location and time and changing to the Path-Tracing Renderer- every other setting was left as is. I hit Final Render and waited for it to complete.
I do not understand what is going on here. The image is overexposed, you can see the underlying model's faces at the shadow line and there is a darkening of the material towards the back of the head. And the shadow themselves seem somehow incorrect. Overall the render is awful. I know I can fix it with adjustments but still...
This did not occur until the recent update. Before I could just open the Octane window and it would look at least look OK.
Any explanations, suggestions would be appreciated.

The 'amount' setting in the materials section causes this problem. Turn all the material amounts to 1 and this will fix it. We're waiting for feedback from t_3 about returning to the old material conversion system or more info about how to adjust this conversion correctly. Not sure why the closed beta missed this issue or didn't think it might cause confusion?
